The 2018 Rapszodia, 100% Cabernet Franc, is finally starting to flesh out a bit. Sweet, perfumed aromatics and bright saline accents lend energy to a wine that literally soars out of the glass. This statuesque, alluring beauty needs a few years in bottle to come into its own, but it is already starting to show the texture I hoped would develop when I first tasted it in barrel in 2019. The dark red/purplish fruit remains quite vibrant, while the tannins are beautifully meshed into the wine’s fabric.
