Tasting Notes
David Schildknecht 90
Struck flint, wet stone, ripe pear, kumquat and anise mark the nose. The palate is full and glycerol-rich, displaying more sheer juiciness than that of its Feils (aka “Fass 13”) stablemate. Tang and prickle of peach fuzz add invigoration to a finish of admirable clarity and ample refreshment. This is a bit less striking than the Feils – which isn’t surprising given the distinctiveness of that site – but is still considerably complex, as well as more fun to drink.
