Tasting Notes
Josh Raynolds 93
Deep brilliant crimson. A highly perfumed nose evokes mineral-accented red and dark berries, candied licorice and a hint of potpourri. Sappy, sharply delineated red and blue fruit flavors show bright mineral lift and take on exotic spice and floral pastille nuances as the wine opens up. In an ample but energetic style, finishing sweet, floral and long, with just a whisper of fine-grained tannins. This wine is an outstanding example of an entry-level Châteauneuf bottling, and while it’s extremely appealing right now with a bit of air, it’s balanced to reward plenty of patience.
